WHO WE ARE
The YWAM Resource Circle is a global team that provides leadership, support, and strategic guidance for the Bible Translation movement in YWAM. We serve as conveners, connectors, and advocates—helping teams succeed by offering training, mentorship, funding pathways, and project oversight. Representing different regions of the world, each member walks alongside translation teams, helping them navigate challenges, steward resources, and stay aligned with the broader vision and YWAM values. Whether facilitating AI tools, offering scholarships, reviewing projects, or building bridges with local leaders, we are committed to equipping communities to bring God’s Word to every language.

Cleo, a nurse with degrees in Theology and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics for Bible Translation, has served with YWAM for 30 years. Together with her husband Emanuel, she leads a YWAM base and manages Bible translation projects. She has worked among different ethnic groups, especially in healthcare and training. Since 2020, she has been deeply engaged in the Bible translation movement, committed to seeing every people group hear God’s Word in their heart language.

Meleah is passionate about empowering people to value their own language and making the whole Bible accessible in every language. She serves by teaching, mentoring, and walking alongside local translators, helping them bring God’s Word to their communities.

Pourquoi Shema ?
Shema (שמע) est le mot hébreu trouvé dans Deutéronome 6, appelant tout le peuple d'Israël à écouter et à intérioriser les paroles de Dieu dans leur cœur. Ce concept est très familier à la traduction de la Bible, car les équipes internalisent souvent un passage dans le cadre de leur processus de traduction.
Shema JEM consiste à écouter, honorer et apprendre les uns des autres pour mieux répondre à l'appel de notre génération.
Nous nous engageons à partager les histoires de toutes les générations et du monde entier, en apportant perspective, variété et unité.
Shema est une communauté de pratique, un espace de conversation, de coopération et de croissance offert par l'UdN. Nous invitons les équipes de traduction à :
