Come & Hear

In 2022, there was an Oral Bible translation (OBT) conference in South Sudan. In this conference several organizations were gathering in order to work together to end Bible poverty in Africa.

YWAM was represented with several bases from all over Africa. A man from Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) caught my attention. He shared a testimony about how Oral Bible Storytelling (OBS) changed his mother's life. His mother got to hear for the first time a story of the Bible in her own mother tongue and wept as a response. God spoke to her! This touched all of our hearts while more stories were shared.

This conference was encouraging in seeing how Africa is ready to received the Word of God in their mother tongue. It was a privilege to hear from everyone and touched my heart with the desire to be part of OBT with my abilities and gifts, so that more people like this man's mother could receive, hear, and understand the Bible deeply for the first time in their mother tongue!

Can you imagine such a sight, where truly people weeping from hearing the Words of Life spoken in their own language? Yes, may we all link arms in order to see this beautiful sight occur all around us!
